Reassurance Contact
We're here to reassure you!
Program Specialist: Arlene Lyons
Program Established: 1973
Program Motto: "The caring contact: Reassurance is just one phone call away."
Program Description: The Crisis Center's Reassurance Contact is a FREE program, which helps people live independently as long as possible through daily telephone wellness checks. Our trained volunteers call our clients to chat with them, see how they are doing, to let them know they are not alone and someone is thinking about them. |

Arlene Lyons is the assistant to the
Program Coordinator Willie Perry.
Lyons manages the rolls of people in Lake County
who receive wellness checks each week. |
What is a Wellness Check? The Reassurance Contact staff make either daily or weekly phone calls to both converse and listen to their clients, but also to provide information and referral for a variety of reasons. The client can decide how often they would like to be contacted, and the type of referrals made depend on the client's needs. Examples of common reassurance calls are air-conditioning checks, medication checks, depression & worry, and more.
